It would've been very difficult for Talk Talk to top "Laughing Stock." Indeed, Mark Hollis's solo album wasn't as good, even though it has its moments and is beautifully recorded. <br /><br />There's a chance that Hollis will re-emerge with new music. Indeed, he contributed a brief chamber-music instrumental to the soundtrack of the TV series "Boss" last year. But "Boss" is a great soundtrack - do seek it out. And if you've not come across Shearwater, a US band that is profoundly influenced by Talk Talk but without sounding like them, go get yourself their 2008 album "Rook" for starters. It's a shame they disbanded, but if that was Mark's decision, who am I to criticize right ? But I miss them a lot...
